About Mary's approach

I work with individuals, families and couples to help them build, strengthen, and heal their relationships. In more than a dozen years of clinical practice, I have developed transformative ways to work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I use a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, as well as cutting-edge neuroscience such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I also help individuals who are facing life transitions, or who are experiencing difficulties in their partner relationships.
We are neurobiologically designed to be in healthy relationships with others, therefore ruptured, damaged relationships negatively affect our mind, body and spirit. I accept clients as they are and collaboratively develop goals. I have experience with diverse family structures, and cross-cultural families and have lived extensively overseas, giving me a unique cultural perspective.

I use a cutting edge neurobiological lens in my therapeutic work. I am a Mentor and trainer for the Child Trauma Academy and train other health care professionals in this area. I have presented at conferences, mental health organizations and schools
